Joel Urruty and Jeremy Mayer

The way that this exhibition was brought together was rather cohesive even though it showcases artists that practice sculpture in a unique way to each other. Urruty concentrates on using natural materials such as wood, stone and bronze to create more organic, abstract shapes and curves, being more suggestive of the body's structure, where Mayer uses hundreds and thousands of pieces that are taken from the remnants of typewriters to create his human body sculptures, creating more on the facial and bodily structure.
"This is our chance to "take everything we have, pick it all apart, choose the best parts and reassemble it," he says." Hanus, J. (2010)
